Beer Butt Chicken

Subject: Beer Butt Chicken

1 uncut roasting chicken with giblets removed 1 six-pack of beer (anything you like will work) Dry spices for rubbing on said chicken (Season-all, Poultry Seasoning, Cayenne Pepper if you like it hot) ------------------------------------------------------------ Open a beer and drink half of the beer out of it. Set aside for later. If you accidentally drink the whole beer apply another half can of beer promptly and set it aside. Repeat process as needed until chicken is ready to be placed on the grill. Rinse chicken well before preparing for grill Rub spices liberally to outside and inside of chicken Place beer can half full of beer into the chickens butt. (Do not spill the beer) Place assaulted chicken in a cake pan sitting on its butt with beer can and beer intact. * (9 x 9 works well for 1 chicken) You may want to line the pan with foil for easier cleanup Put the chicken on the grill at 350 - 400 Degrees (In the oven works well also at 350) Depending how many times it took to get a half can of beer, proceed to finish the 6-pack Depending on your grill and chicken it will cook for 45 - 60 minutes Use a meat thermometer to check temperature (180 degrees or until juice runs clear) Check in between thigh and breast where it is thickest near the joint without touching the bone. Let cool for a few minutes and serve. (This chicken will serve just as many as any other chicken would)
